Boston 10 - Baltimore 1
Despite coming into the final game of the season with a 9-game losing streak the Clippers refused to be relegated to the basement of the league without a fight. Boston pummeled Canaries starter for 8 runs off of 8 hits and 4 walks, knocking him out of the game after the 4th inning. Kid Butler (7) and Ed Callahan (6) hit solo home runs for the Clippers, while Joe Maldonado (5) hit a solo shot for the lone run for the Canaries. Ed McDonough (5-3) pitched a two-hitter, his second this season.
Washington 6 - New York 3
Jim Halpin hit a grand slam (8) and Eddie Blasco hit a solo shot in his first appearance as Washington remained tied for last place with Boston.
Newark 9 - Pittsburgh 1
With the pennant decided, and the Hornets sitting many of their starters, the Eagles took full advantage. Newark starter John Cattanach (6-3) made his record 12th start of the season and gave up one run, mixing eight hits and four walks in nine innings, while striking out five.
Providence 4 - Philadelphia 1
The Commodore line-up jumped on starter Peter Murphy (1-5) early, getting him pulled with one out in the fifth inning. Willard Remaley (5-3) pitched seven innings, adding one additional strikeout to his league leading total (51).
