Boston 3 - Newark 1 
Jim Stanley's (3-0) return to the Clipper starting rotation was a complete success.  He threw a 4-hit complete game shutout, and batted 3-for-4 with a double, scoring one run, and driving in the other. 

Baltimore 2 - Washington 1
Robert Ferguson (4-2) threw a complete game 4-hitter, striking out 5, and scoring the tying run, as the Canaries beat the Statesmen to win the series.


Providence 5 - New York 1
Will Remaley (3-2) struck out seven and Jeff Passe hit a three run homer (4) as the Commodores efficiently overcame the Knights. 

Philadelphia 4 - Pittsburgh 3
George Nofstker went 3-for-4, including a triple and a home run (3) as the Yellowjackets rallied to defeat Pittsburgh.
