Notes
  • Tom Evers stint was manager has steadied the course of the Statesmen. Through Game 34, Evers led Washington to a 7-7 record.
  • Albert Spaulding's arm injury is considered even more serious than originally thought.  His expected return has been labelled as 10 games into the 1921 season
  • Despite quality production the "Washington Eds" Callahan and Crane, it appears that the recent success for Richie Jessop and Mike Sutliffe  will keep them on the bench for the foreseeable future.
  • Newark manger Tim Murnane is still not convinced to put back-up catcher Art Sladen into the starting line-up.  Despite Sladen sharp hitting in limited appearances still the All-Star Break, Pat Scanlon has put up less flashy numbers and has been solid behind the plate. Sladen's one position appearance was in the outfield, but with Paul Zerbe taking over the lead-off spot, and Eddie Rauch returning to the line-up, it's unsure where Murnane will place Sladen.
  • Philadelphia player-manager Ted Sullivan threw a monkey wrench into the league rules when he called up outfielder Henry Boyle and optioned himself for assignment.  Procedurely, he must report to an affiliated club or risk getting cut outright. Luckily, the Yellowjackets as associated with a C-Ball club in Wilmington, so he simply jumped on a train to Delaware, reported, and Wilmington place him as inactive before he jumped on a return trip to Philly.  Sullivan was batting .180 with 2 home runs and five rbis in 18 games.
