The Canaries relied on hard hitting and solid baserunning to defeat the Knights and split the four-game series. Baltimore starter Robert Ferguson (2-1) allowed one run on four hits and four walks, as well as driving in two RBIs on two singles at the plate.
Pittsburgh 5 - Boston 1
The Hornets hit back-to-back-to-back homers and Red Fisher (1-1) pitched a complete game victory, granting the Clippers their seventh-straight loss. The trio of Lee Dasher, Charlie Malay, and Bill Cottrell drove in all four runs in the fifth. Kid Butler hit a solo homer (6) for Boston's lone run
Washington 5 - Philadelphia 1
Washington regained its hitting prowess from early in the season, getting 10 hits and 7 walks off of Yellowjacket pitching. John Ward allowed one run and struck out 6 to give the Statesmen their second straight win, and a split of the four-game series with Philly.
Newark 4 - Providence 3
Put in as an emergency starter Commodore pitcher Jeff Ashworth (0-1) performed admirably, only allowing four runs on six hits, while striking out six in the loss, but also batting 2-for-3 with a double and a home run. Charlie Hodnett moved to 3-0 in the win and Jack Brennan earned his fourth save.
