Newark 2 - Baltimore 1 
It was a pitchers' duel as Charlie Sweeney and Robert Ferguson only allowed three totals runs between the teams in the Eagles' win. The Eagles capitalized on some walks given up by Ferguson, combined with three errors by the Canaries. Eddie Rauch scored both runs for Newark.

Washington 6 - Providence 0

John Ward pitched nine shutout inning, and added a double, a triple, and an RBI, as the Statesmen rolled over the Commordores.  Mulligan and Albert also hit home runs for Washington.


Boston 7 - Philadelphia 6

In a game with six home runs, it was a bloop single over the shortstops head by backup infielder John Irwin in the bottom of the 10th which guaranteed victory for the Clippers.


New York 7 - Pittsburgh 6

The Knights rallied in the bottom of the 8th, capped by a Paul Ackourey 3-run home run to overcome Pittsburgh, and extend their winning streak to five games. Klopf (2 triples) and Gabriel (2 doubles) were key to the early New York runs. Delahanty and Freeman hit home runs for Pittsburgh
