June 9, 1920 (Game 22)

Boston 1 - Baltimore 0
Canaries starter Harry Wright (0-4) pitched an unthinkable 11 2/3 innings, but allowed a solo home run to Ed Crane (2), which snapped the Clippers 8-game losing streak.  Clippers starter Tom McGuire only pitched 9 innings before manager Ken Goecke brought in the relievers.  Ken Beere (1-0) earned his first victory with 2 innings of relief.

New York 3 - Washington 2
A big 5th inning, capped off with Knights 3B Roger Dickinson's 2-run triple was all New York needed to end Washington 3-game winning streak.   Thomas Weitlich (4-1) earned the win, and Lou Rinaldi recorded his third save of the season with an 1 2/3 innings of shutout relief. 

Pittsburgh 3 - Newark 1
Both team relied on solo home runs to score all their runs in an otherwise well pitched game.  Delahanty (2), Cronin (2), and Hope (4) homered for the Hornets, while Eagles outfielder Paul Zerbe hit his in the bottom of the 9th.    Joe Houser (4-0) struck out 8 in his win, and Charlie Armbruster earned only his second save of the season for first-place Pittsburgh.

Providence 7 -  Philadelphia 2
The Commodores offensives firepower was on display, including four home runs, as they finally reached 10 wins for the seasons.   G.Johnson (2-3) pitched seven inning, allowing both Yellowjacket runs, and Nick Evans pitched the final two innings for his 1st save.  Milt Whitehead homered (3) for Philadelphia.
