Pittsburgh 7 - Boston 2

Jack Lewis (4-0) allowed two runs and four hits, and three Hornets players hit home runs as Pittsburgh rolled over the Clippers. Boston has dropped their fifth straight game in a row.


Philadelphia 3 - Washington 0

Charlie Manlove (3-0) pitched a complete game shutout and struck out six as the Yellowjackets handed the Statesmen their 13th straight loss. Ted Sullivan solo homered and Dave Rowe drove in the other two runs for Philadelphia.


Newark 7 - Providence 1

The Eagles delivered a barrage of 13 hits, and William Sullivan (1-1) threw a 2-hitter in Newark's win. George Rennick (1) and Sullivan (1) hit home runs in the winning effort, while the Commodores' Jeff Passe's home run (2) was their only offense
