April 25, 1920 (Game 7)

Baltimore 8  - Providence 2
Pop Bender recovered from a disastrous first start, throwing a complete game and a no-hitter into the fifth inning, as the Canaries dominated the Commodores.  Leadoff hitter John Kleber went 4-for-4, including two doubles and a home run.  Shortstop Louie Kramer hit his second homer in many games.   Lester Wentzell hit a 2-run pinch-hit home run for Providence's only runs, extending his league-leading RBI total to 7.

Philadelphia 4 - Newark 3
Tim Murname's solo homer tied the game in the top of the ninth, but it was Philly's Fred Lewis and a triple in the bottom of the 10th that scored Joe Quinn and gave the Yellowjackets the win.

Pittsburgh 6 - Washington 5
Much-maligned star acquisition Buggs Raymond may have excused his erratic behavior to start the season:  He simply wanted to play his best in front of the home crowd.    Raymond went 2-for-5, including a game-winning triple in the bottom of the ninth for the Hornets win, and their first winning streak of the year.

New York 6 - Boston 5
Knight pitchers barely outlasted their Clipper counterparts today.   Roger Dickinson hit a two-run shot, and Paul Ackourey hit a bases-loaded triple.  Boston outfielders Ed Callahan hit two home runs, and Ed Crane one, in the loss.
