April 10, 1920 (Game 2)

 Washington 7 - Baltimore 1
The Statesmen's bat came alive, rocking Canaries pitcher Pop Bender for six runs in the first four innings.  Gus Albert  and Chris Fulmer each drove in two runs apiece for Washington.  Statesman starter Charlie Geegus threw a complete game, allowing only four hits.

Newark 5 - Boston 2
The Eagles avenge their opening day defeat to the Clippers, thanks Eddie Rauch going 3-for-4 including a home run and a double.  Charlie Hodnett no-hit Boston for five innings, and only gave up a two-run pinch-hit double to John Irwin in the 8th.  This effort overcome a continuing issue with Newark's left side of the infield.  The duo of Slattery and McKechnie each committed an error in the game.  They already have six errors between them and the Eagles haven't finished a series.  Lucky for them, both have shown a knack at getting on base.

New York 4 - Providence 3
Leo Yazinski struck out eight and held off a late rally in the bottom of the ninth, as the Knights edged the Commodores.   Knights outfielder John Klopf provided all the offense for New York with two home runs and four runs batted in.   Klopf also homered in the season opener, giving him three for the year already.

Philadelphia 2  Pittsburgh 1
John Murphy pitch 8 1/3 innings to hold Pittsburgh down and allow Philadelphia for a bounce-back win, 2-1.  Murphy struck out 7 and controlled the tempo, until a late rally force Charlie Berry make his first appearance of the season to record his first save of the season.  Catcher Lee Dasher hit a solo home run for all the offensive production for the Hornets.  It was his second home run in as many games.
